Darrius Caldwell is rumored to be heading into the 2015 NFL Supplemental Draft, and we’re trying to get a jump on researching the well-travelled enigma, who had a banner season in 2014 and was named an all-conference player for West Georgia. We take a look at this visually impressive 6’6″+ sudden prospect  entry into the NFL (allegedly). Read our 1,200+ word scouting report and statistical analysis on West Georgia Defensive End Darrius Caldwell

Current Rankings (as of this publishing):

Sample of Mock Drafts (May 2015): Not included in any mock drafts (obviously)

Early consensus on Darrius Caldwell is projecting him being selected between the 6th-round of the Supplemental Draft, and going completely undrafted.

Next Scouting Report Release: DE Darrius Caldwell, West Georgia

If all goes as planned, the Darrius Caldwell scouting report will be out Saturday…Sunday at the latest. Caldwell is the first ‘verbal commitment’ to the 2015 NFL Supplemental Draft.

We’ll journey through Caldwell’s time at Illinois…and Pearl River Community College…and almost Arizona State…almost South Carolina…and finally to West Georgia…and now to the 2015 NFL Supplemental Draft.

I’ve watched the tape, looked at his D2 and D1 numbers, and we are ready to render a decision.

Stay Tuned.

Because we are in a somewhat ‘quiet period’ for NFL Draft activity and general football news, when a video posted of Baylor DE prospect Shawn Oakman leaping 40″ with two 35-pound weights in his hands–my emails and phone lit up. At a glance, Oakman looks like the ultimate football machine for a Defensive End prospect–a 6’8″+, sculpted machine of a football player. He looks like what you would create for your own D-End in a video game.

Because of the heavy interest, we rushed Oakman’s preview scouting report to the top of the list. Read our 2,000+ word scouting report and statistical analysis of Baylor DE prospect Shawn Oakman here…

Current Rankings (as of this publishing):

Sample of Mock Drafts (May 2015): #2 rated DE prospect for the 2016 NFL Draft

Yes, there are leagues out there who can draft any college prospect in their Dynasty Rookie Draft. Oakman is currently taken as an average of the 1.5 DE prospect off-the-board among 2016 prospects selected in a 2015 Dynasty Rookie Draft–meaning of any DEs still in college who are selected in a 2015 Dynasty Rookie Draft right now, he is usually the first or second one of those ‘still in school’ DE prospects selected.

The enigma Marcus Hardison… Is he destined to struggle in the NFL or is he the best DT prospect in the 2015 NFL Draft? Most analysts have him outside their top-10 DT prospects in this draft. Could he really be a better prospect than Leonard Williams? We believe there is an argument to be made here, and we make it in our 1,200+ word scouting report on Arizona State DT prospect Marcus Hardison

Cardale Jones, Ohio State QB | NFL Draft 2015/2016 Scouting Report EXTRA

Earlier this year, I thought we’d be debating Cardale Jones for the 2015 NFL Draft. I was shocked that he passed up the 2015 NFL Draft to return to an unknown playing status for Ohio State in 2016. Obviously, we don’t have all the game data we want to do a formal study. Three games is too small a sample size, but we did the best we could with what data is out there and ran computer estimates for the missing data.

I watched Jones’s three game march to immortality several times over, and analyzed the numbers. Is Jones a lucky flash in the pan propped up by Urban Meyer or is he the next Andrew Luck? We take a look at Cardale Jones from a 2015 NFL Draft perspective in our 1,600+ word scouting report and statistical analysis here…
